Friendly fire is beginning to really annoy me.

It's not that I can't aim when using my weapon and I end up shooting people on my own team, that's not the problem.

Whenever I throw a flash/stun/semtex/frag, I get the reverse effect if a team-mate is close by which puts me at a huge disadvantage.

And then there's the matter of air support. Everytime I call in air support (such as harriers), I have to find somewhere, where none of my team-mates are otherwise I am more than likely to die because the harrier strike will kill me. More than 80% of the time, there will be someone on your team who is near the enemies (and the place you want your harriers to strike).

I constantly end up dying and ruining my streak because of this.

I'm sure this must be annoying normal players too and could cause them to leave the server.

Please, remove it. :D

Thanks to that FF I changed my streaks to something that needs you to do something to get kills.

And maybe more people would do the same.

And those who prefer to play with it cuz they dont need streaks with area damage arent normal ?

The precision airstrike, harriers, stealth bomber, chopper gunner and AC-130 are the kill-streaks that can kill you for friendly fire. I imagine 90 percent of players have at least one of these kill-streaks selected.

I don't see why they should change their ways to adjust to friendly fire, when the friendly fire can be removed altogether.

Whoops has said that friendly fire (on reflect) is enabled to prevent the random spraying people do but to be honest, I would much prefer people who randomly spray over being killed because of friendly fire.

Let me elaborate on what I said previously, clearly you're having difficulty understanding.

Most players (not 'leet' players like you) use kill-streaks because they are a way of getting kills quicker, which means you have more chance of getting the most kills and winning the game.

If they deploy a kill-streak, for example, a harrier strike, if any of the bombs that are dropped by the harrier strike land near your team-mates, you will die.

This death which is obviously not their fault will cause the player to rage, and eventually rage-quit.

We could always keep one server with FF and one without FF that way everybody would be happy.

Was thinking of that earlier. Add the FF letters to the name on the existing servers and then start all over with the numbers but with no FF. I initially did not want 2 of the same type etc. Seeing we are likely to get players signed up from the MW2 servers, we probably ought to accomodate and make some changes. The only problem is that a busy MW2 server does suck bandwidth.

'Dis crap doesn't work. I get killed more often than not by throwing nade at a camper, then he gets knifed, then I die.

Or some pro playas have a dude in front of them or behind them, and when u try to save their life - I die.

Not to mention - AHAHAHA!! ENEMIEZ! ME GO NOW IN FRONT OF YOU!!! ME WANT KILL!! - I die.

Just give us proper FF or none. proper means being able to TK but with added 'benefits' (cheater killing FTW). Or none, like the great COD4, where people spray and live happily.

FF with possible TK isn't a great idea. There's always some retards who go on a rampage and TK's everyone around. That's no fun. And what if RCON isn't online? More raging, flaming and etc.

By benefits I meant 5min kick for continuous tk as an example. Obviously airstrikes are an issue and I agree, it ain't the best idea.

Tbh, I don't really have a big problem with it - yes its annoying, but no more than that.

P.S.: Was surprised that COD4 #4 got reflective FF, except for nades (which is good), and I started killing myself with airstrikes which cannot be directed in COD4...

Man REFLECT DAMAGE SUCKS SO MUCH !!! PLEASE TURN IT OFF FOR YOUR TDM AND DOMINATION SERVER ! I BEG YOU !!!

I DON'T CARE ABOUT S&D BECAUSE THERE ITS USEFUL BUT NOT ON TDM !!! IT RUINS ALL THE DAMN FUN BECAUSE THERE'S ALWAYS A GOD DAMN NOOB THAT RUNS INTO MY STUN / FLASH NADES.

Oh god, i beg you turn it off on TDM and Demolition. It's not gonna hurt anybody!!!

I freakin' love your servers and I'd really like that little change :(

REFLECT is on to reduce spraying and nade spam. Normal FF will mean you are likely to get killed by a team mate who is not happy with you.

Yes, you got a point, but what if there was no ricochet, no FF at all, like official SC, wouldn't be better?

I'm not insisting on removing it but I think it would be better.
