The old site wasnt great in attracting users but after the change it is slowly climbing up.

Hello hello nice to see old faces, hope you were able to retrieve your old account. Well, the weird website you are referring to had too many bugs and not worth the license. Good concept but hard to maintain, it also caused hig CPU spikes and we had to move hosts twice. Now we have the best of two worlds, good forum with some social features welcome back and hopefully you will be more active? Hehe. Yes, still got servers and our mw2 servers are HOT.

What do you think? 9 times better graphics, twice as fast in terms of cpu and higher resolution + camera. Looks good on the paper! /me wants one I think.

Nothing has been disabled from our side. It is using default setting on most so I can only assume it is aIW.

Thanks, but I am more conserned having the mw2 dedicated more stable than cheaters who can be dealt by local admins. If the chap above is on dhcp and with the xuid fake script, he will come back under a different name if his IQ is higher than 15

Removed as well as the Black Ops server. We tried to keep it up a couple of months to see if it worked but it hasn't. It will probably work better when /if a BBC2 clan is incorporated into |ED| (same for Black Ops), it may happen later and if it does - we will revisit and have the server(s) back online.

Map rotation changed. See if there will be less crashes now, not sure. Dont know until peak time and if people can take notes etc. and report back.

There is one rule which is all weapons allowed. To make things simple, the mw2 servers just followed the COD4 server rule. The idea was to bring standard rules to each of the game types then the 2nd server for the same game type could be customised to restrict weapons etc. but the mw2 servers really suck bandwidth and resources hence only (for now) 1 game type per server is available. I do agree with you though, arena along with demolition and domination is more tactical and some weapons could be 'disabled' to further enhance the game. Wouldn't mind trying it out but the main problem is to admin it. We dont have admins on the mw2 servers all the time and it can be difficult to manage. I will look into it though.

It does not make a difference as to what is right or wrong but makes a difference as to your sensitivity of the case. This is a public forum, you and others should be able to post anything. I dont think anybody has blamed or insulted anyone. You asked a direct question and rabbit answered it was him and the reason. Although the reason may not be acceptable to all, nevertheless he answered and explained. We believe, (that includes me or admins) and it is also part of the RCON documentation; that players should be warned before being kicked. To be honest, this is hard to follow up from time to time when under-staffed and at times when there are cheaters on several servers. You simply won't and can't spec/record/warn every time. In an ideal world we should be following the rule every time but nope, it is not practical and even if we wanted to... it doesnt happen every day but only with 'certain' players and your son is one of them. Yes, to accuse somebody of cheating is serious business but think again. Your son is not 'normal', he is in the same group as blood, -00- and others where 99% of people will think he is cheating and act accordingly. I am not trying to make an excuse but state some facts and it will happen again in the future with others. I would take it as a compliment (or your son should).

Well, they postponed alterops, now they have put on hold the so called 're-writtend MW2 client'. Mainly due to developers not delivering what they promised. They are really back to square one with no source code (NT still got it) and with no improvements made to existing system + no new client... future looks bleak and will probably die unless somebody is clever. Problem is that because the source code is not open, I assume the call back from dedicated server setup cannot be changed. Bah... I hope somebody can do something about this or a new group.

If you wonder why this server is not listed but still listed under alteriw server browser. All MW2 servers do a call back to home which is alteriwnet. No servers can be 'hidden' but you can set a password. It is a test server for the upcoming map vote script and other demos such as in-game RCON and maybe other modules. When not being tested it will stay in FFA mode but as a private server using pass 9090 You are free to play on this server by using the pass 9090 but be aware that when/if a test is about to start, there may be reboots and changes to the setup with no advance notice! So if you schedule in a game with a few friends, dont come here to moan about changes and constant reboots

I will test the map vote script on a new server this weekend.

Well spotted. When MW2 servers crashed earlier today, for some reason this entry was removed. Have added it back and should be active with the next auto reboot. Thanks for note.
