Just to say that if you're playing games which use PhysX then you should absolutely go for nVidia, that's what swung my decision after being a lifelong ATI fanboy I'm a little out of date with graphics but i think that if you use an ATI card (which don't support PhysX) then your CPU has to do the physics calculations which obviously causes a slowdown even with multicore CPU's. I have been told (but i'm not sure) that there are some patched ATI drivers which allow your GPU to do the work, a GPU has more cores that operate differently from your CPU so they can do physics modelling faster. But even that is going to cause a performance drop on games with heavy physics like BF3. Having said all of that, unless you're running a multi monitor display, at maximum resolution with all effects turned on and with a big monitor then using an ATI card should be fine. The only thing you will probably notice is increased GPU and CPU temperature. But save yourself the hassle and go with nVidia

I love Stargate, watched them all when they originally came to TV, even Atlantis was pretty good but Stargate Universe is awful. It's sort of like "Lost" but in space. It's all a little to slow.

I have heard of people new to alterIW who somehow have the same XUID as a former cheater. I would suggest going to the alterIW forums and asking them directly as they build and maintain the game. However as far as i am aware this error occurs when you are trying to spoof your MAC address or the client thinks you are, this is usually done to get around a ban. Not calling you a cheater but just making the point that this is the most common reason for the error and it's why i'm reluctant to help you much more sorry.
-
The error you speak of usually results from your XUID being banned so I'm reluctant to give you too much help on this. I will ask one thing, are you using the same players files from your other computer on the laptop? If you are then this will be causing your error as it thinks you're trying to evade a ban. At least that's how i understand it.

I have still ordered BO and intend to kick your arse to teach you that hardcore isn't for noobs See you in nuketown!
-
Pfft noob easy mode? It's called hardcore for a reason! But each to their own
-
Man i was just about to order black ops then realised these ED servers aren't hardcore are they? I don't like to play normal mode lol. Oh well.
-
Decided to buy black ops so you might see me around on the BO servers soon. Do i need all the downloadable map packs?

Thanks for the heads up on this one Mr.Krabs. Yet again proves you should use a different password everywhere.

I found a fix! Updated the BIOS of my graphics card, this improved things but still crashed after 20 minutes. Then i underclocked my graphics card from 900 to 810 and haven't had any problems since. It seems you might have to do both of these things to get it working.

Many players have aliases! I'm known as DoctorStupid, CompleteWanker and of course EpicTwat. I'm sure others will agree with these nicknames

I have a Nokia 1600, it's 5 years old. It makes calls and sends texts, doesn't even have a camera, perfect.

That's great, happy reporting

Np, I highly suggest getting fraps or somethign as well, always good to record the cheater for evidence

Name: Elements IP: 85.72.78.104 XUID: 110000190676b7a I do have a second video if this one isn't enough. Usually i would edit them together but Windows Movie Maker is having a problem with the new nvidia drivers. Not sure if my first attempt to post this worked, sorry if it's a double.

Theres a small tool inside the MW2 folder. Go to where you insalled MW2, usually "C:\Program Files (x86)\Modern Warfare 2 - Multiplayer". Next open the "Cheat Report Tool" folder. Inside you'll find a file named "Cheat Report Tool" and another file you don't have to worry about. Double click the cheat report tool and it will open. On the bottom right of the tool you'll see something that says "open different .log file", clicking that you should see a list of log files from previous games. If you don't see any files then you will need to copy the cheat report tool into a different folder. So right click the cheat report tool and click "copy". Go back to your MW2 folder and then open the folder named "main". Right click the empty space in the folder and paste the cheat report tool into it. Now open the cheat report tool and you should have a list of names from the previous game you played. Click any of those names and their IP, xuid and full name should be displayed in the left hand panel. From here you can copy and paste that information into notepad or firefox or wherever. If the name you are looking for isn't in the list then you need to open a different log file in the way i described earlier. I hope that was clear

Game won't even boot into the menu atm, it did the first time but now it just blackscreens once it goes past the credits. Guess i'll just wait until the driver fix comes out. Thanks for the build compliment, i didn't list it to show off, just so everyone knew i wasn't trying to run BF3 on a piece of garbage
-
Ahh damn why did it have to be my specific model! lol oh well that clears things up for me, at least I know I am not just being an idiot Thanks.

Ok I've searched and searched forums and haven't found a solution to this problem so I'm asking for help. I got BF3 and every time i try and play it the game black screens on the intro, sound disappears and the entire computer just hangs. No way back to windows, no ctrl-alt-delete, nothing. I tried updating my nvidia drivers but they won't even install, I made sure to have admin priviliges, ran it in admin mode, did everything i can but they won't install, just says "failed to install". It's definitely the right driver for my card, downloaded twice. Completely uninstalled old drivers, rebooted, tried installing new ones and nope, not happening. System Specs Core i7 2600k Gigabyte GTX 560 Ti 12 GB Corsair Vengeance Ram WD Caviar Black 500GB Water cooled with a Corsair H80 Win 7 Ultimate So any suggestions guys? Please I want to play BF3!

Ok so this guy obviously wallhacks, including video and his xuid, ip etc. Not sure if you accept reports like this but I couldn't see any admins online so meh here it is anyway. Name: ID_F92D9925 IP: 78.50.132.63 XUID: 1100001f92d9925

Lots of people on the hardcore server saying the same thing, wallhacker.
